It’s never too early to introduce your babiekins to art and artists – who knows, your babiekin may grow up to be the next Picasso! Who is your favorite artist? Mine is Frida Khalo: she not only inspires me with her art but also with her style.

I hope you enjoy this round-up of Frida inspired toys and clothing, and suggest you try to take your babiekins to a museum this Summer, not only is it a great way to escape the Summer heat but Museums are also a great place to teach your babiekins about expression and themselves through the wonderful world of art.

Sleepykins // The Cutest Room for Ever

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor 3 Comments

Guest post by Patty Nelson of @tinykaper.

Ever’s toddler room was her big gift this past Christmas. I started putting her room together by first converting her crib into a toddler bed. The bed became not only a place for her to sleep in, but also served as a space for her to lounge, read and play. Most of the larger pieces of furniture in her room were purchased from either Ikea or Target, which we ended up doing some DIY on. We then chose a rug that continues to serve as a statement piece and anchor for her entire room.
What I like most about her room is that it is filled with colorful toys, objects and decor from small businesses and shops we’ve come across on Instagram. We’ve become friends with many of these shop owners and talented artisans, and they continue to be such a great source of inspiration for me in decorating Ever’s constantly evolving space.
My biggest piece of advice for those putting a kids’ room together is to work with what you have and to curate and edit as you decorate. Play with colors and patterns and have fun!

Unicorns may be imaginary creatures, but they are popping up on everything from apparel, to accessories and also on decor. Now is the time for your babiekins to be a Unicorn and to chase rainbows! I want to be a Unicorn, as I would like to believe in the fascinating myth of a horned horse…this round-up of goodies is so magical you too will believe and want to be Unicorns too.

If you’re anything like us, titles like “Tawny Scrawny Lion” and “Saggy Baggy Elephant” immediately bring back cozy memories of times gone by — times spent pouring over the distinctive illustrations, lost in the magical world of Little Golden Books. They’re such happy memories, and that’s why we’re so excited that The Land of Nod is bringing Little Golden Books to life! With their incredible decor and bedding sets, our favorite classic characters are no longer flat, paper pictures confined to a book, but rather soft, tangible — huggable! — pieces to round out a room. We just love it!

Featurekins // Indoor Camp Party From Land Of Nod

By Priscila Barros, Editor-in-Chief Leave a Comment

When I was a little girl, I remember thinking camping was SO cool. My parents really weren’t “campers”, but oh, I dreamed gathering around a smoky, sparkling campfire spinning scary stories, snuggling under a woolen blanket under the shelter of a canvas tent, and then in the morning, exploring the mountainous wilds.

Now that I’m older, I know the reality of camping — especially camping with kids — and it’s a lot more work than I dreamed of as a child! There are a million things I’d rather be doing than chasing the bugs out of my tent, trying to cook over a damp campfire, and then coaxing the kids to sleep to a chorus of crickets and coyotes.

But I’m not ready to let go of my perfect idea of camping the way I imagined it as a child.  I still want to camp.

So I’m beyond ecstatic about this. The Land of Nod now has a whole range of  fun, fresh and quirky items so you can throw a little camp party…indoors! (Thank you, The Land Of Nod! Thank you! Thank you!)

Here are The Land of Nod goodies we’d invite to our camp party…

LUVKINS // Perfect for Easter (and all Spring long)

This time of year is just happy, isn’t it? Here at Babiekins, we think it’s high time to celebrate the longer days and the extra sunlight filtering in through the windows.  And what better colors for a spring celebration than a little splash of watermelon, mint and chambray? From the vintage feed sack florals strung along a Czech bead necklace, to the classic look and feel of a linen dress, to the comfy made-for-weekend-mornings lounge set, we can’t wait to get this spring party started.

Copyright © 2026 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
