Summertime fun has begun! Okay, it technically begins June 21, but that shouldn’t stop our fun. See below for two looks I created for the season using two color groups, pastels and primaries. Oh, and a little metallic for fun. I love pieces that feature basic geometric shaped in primary hues. For the pastel look, I focused on whimsical shapes and designs, kind of like a summer galaxy. That summer galaxy vibe lead to the metallic jacket paired with goggles, which is so much fun! The primary look below is perfect for a beach date or garden picnic. While the other, is so fitting for a summer sunset outing for ice cream and milkshakes.
As we anxiously await the release of the eleventh print issue of Babiekins Magazine, here is a look at one of the editorials you will find inside the issue. This story has a minimalist vibe and was shot in the early morning hours in the Miami Design District. Featuring two tweens, the looks are sophisticated but soft.

Happy Friday! Sometimes we take ourselves a little too seriously in this fashion biz, so let’s have some fun!

Memories can be clear and vivid. They can also be fuzzy and kaleidoscopic. Murky. Enchanting. Sometimes, our memories are not even our own. They are part of something greater, a collective unconscious. They are altered by everyday sights, experiences, and feelings. Nostalgia plays tricks on us. We long for places we’ve never been or connect with times we’ve never lived.
This is a story about a girl and her childhood memories. Memories filled with moments spent with a maternal figure. Was it her grandmother? Great aunt? Was it an opulent house filled with antiques? Or a quirky house in Miami filled with knick-knacks and garage sale finds?
During these upcoming warmer months, consider using pieces from previous colder seasons in different ways. Overalls can always be worn without tees or blouses (if it covers all the right places and your little one is comfortable). Don’t put away your favorite fall or winter plaids, pair them with simple cotton tees or shorts to transition into spring and summer.
