Last Friday was the first day of summer – the 4th of July is next week – it is officially Summer Time! I have posted several trends that I am excited about in swimwear this summer and today I am sharing my most favorite of all: Fruity Swim. I am bananas for the Fruity trend and think it is perfect for the 4th of July, whether your babiekins are at a beach or a backyard barbecue they will look berry cute in Fruity Swim & Accessories. Enjoy your summer!

An Island Summer

By Gaylin Howbert, Contributor Leave a Comment

Whenever we publish a sponsored post, we’ll let you know with the hashtag #ad — like this. This simply means we were either compensated for our time in exchange for the post, or we were given complimentary or discounted products, but we were not required to write a positive review. As always, all opinions are the author’s own.

Summer. A word that is so magical as a child. School uniforms now hang at the back of the closet and have been traded for the new daily outfit : swimsuits. Goodbye to homework, hello to running around barefoot outside with friends until the sun dips behind the ocean.

A swimsuit brand who is really setting a style trend for this summer season is SEAESTASURF . The brand’s focus is to make suits for littles ( & recently for father’s as well ) that is comfortable + stylish. Each pair of board shorts is made out of 50% organic cotton and 50% recycled polyester.  Not only will littles look hip while hitting the waves but they will be repping a brand who is helping the planet as well x

This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend, which signals the start of the Summer Season and I am thinking of sunshine, barbecues, friends & family and Splish Splashing in the water with my babiekin. A few weeks ago I shared a round-up of bright colored swimwear; today I am sharing another trend I am loving this Summer in swimwear: Primary Colors; Stripes & Dots; and Sporty. I love the Sporty Trend because it is both functional and fashionable and looks cute on boys & girls alike – I really love that!

Stay Sporty this Summer & Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend with your babiekins!

Travelkins // Exploring Oahu

By Emily Rubio, Former Junior Editor, Kids' Style Leave a Comment

Living in such a small area as the island of Oahu in Hawaii (it’s just under 600 square miles!) you would think one would eventually run out of things to do. No matter how many times we circle around the island, though, there is just always something new to discover. Living here I’ve truly seen that the potential for exploring is tremendous, whether its a discovering new waterfalls, a hidden beach or a wandering trail — or even something more commercial, like hanging out at Disney’s Aulani. I find that there is always some sort of family-friendly activity happening, or a fun place to discover. And did I mention how fun it is to dress for the endless summer? I couldn’t help including some of my island getaway faves for littles in this post. With warm weather all year round, the sun and salty air of Oahu make it a great place to escape — it truly is the endless summer!

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
