We’re thrilled to announce a new contributor to the Babiekins blog, Brittany Ritchie! Her Instagram account @BrittRitch is full of exuberance and life with her two little BOYS, and we’re truly inspired by her sense of style and overall aesthetic. -The Editors
Hi! I’m Brittany, mom of two wild little men Crew (6) and Cash (4), living the glam country life in North Carolina. We are always drawing or playing dress up, and we are all artists in this house so don’t tell us otherwise. We love fashion! I’m almost positive I inherited my fashion sense from my grandmother, my youngest memories of her were in rompers and floral heels to die for!
Around this house (our constant fashion week) we love to mix prints, and I want to share a few tips to help you achieve fun pattern+print looks with your own littles.
Don’t be scared or intimidated when mixing different prints, amazingly kids can pull off most anything with a little help. So experiment, experiment!
TOP FIVE TIPS FOR MIXING PRINTS AND PATTERNS
- Try stripes or polka dots with a print
- Using same fabrics can help; for example, cotton/cotton
- Having one print act as a neutral will ground the outfit
- By mixing different ways, you can create so many new outfits
- There are no rules…have fun with it!
Mixing prints is a total do for children, so say yes to mixing prints!
