A Trend I love for this Spring Season is Print-Mixing. I am seeing Print-Mixing being utilized as patchwork or by mixing prints together, like florals and classic shirting stripes, in unexpected and refreshing ways. This is a round-up of my favorite Spring Trends utilizing Print-Mixing for babiekins: scrunchies; flared dress; a paper doll; classic button-down; long skirt; romantic blouse; hoodie; belt bag and oversize collars. These Print-Mixed fashions are a little bohemian, a little refined, and full of youthful fun.
Tie-Dye is back! Surfer t-shirts and hoodies in tie-dye are my favorite fashion trend this Spring/Summer season. I think that tie-dye can feel fresh when used in unexpected silhouettes and materials like sneakers, swimsuits, pretty dresses and rompers. Maybe I like this trend so much because my style is a little bit boho hippie, but I really do think the new tie-dye trend can be very modern when used with interesting color combinations and more elevated fabrics. Will your babiekins be wearing the tie-dye trend this Summer?
When transparent accessories and apparel started popping up last spring it was clear that this trend would continue and evolve which it has: with bright colors, glitter, embellishments, hardware and in unexpected silhouettes. My favorite see-through goodies are in rain-repelling plastic because they are practical as well as stylish and I love that! Your babiekins will love them too and will want every day to be a rainy day with these see-through goodies.
This Spring Season I am loving everything nylon; jogging pants and hooded jackets in nylon are my current obsession. Maybe I love this trend because I like the 80’s retro-vibe and the fact that they remind me of hanging out at the mall and riding my banana seat bicycle to the park. Or maybe it’s because windbreakers are light, waterproof and cool. Whatever the reason is, I am ready for spring to come and can’t wait for the weather to warm up so me and my babiekin can sport cool windbreakers. Here is a round-up of my favorite windbreakers that are color-blocked in bright bold colors and metallics.
This past Fall Season, animal prints were everywhere. I love this trend and agree with Jenna Lyon’s and also believe that “leopard is a neutral” which means you can wear it with everything. I am happy to see that the Leopard Print Trend is continuing into this Spring Season in apparel, accessories, playthings and decor. If you want, you can also get creative and introduce snake, giraffe, and zebra prints into your babiekins wardrobe as well – Zootastic!
Whenever I see a Beautiful Swan on a lake I immediately look for my phone to take a picture – there is something about the beauty of a Swan that is simply magical and inspirational to me. Perhaps because I grew up loving the story of “The Ugly Duckling” or dreamt of dancing in “Swan Lake,” whatever the reason, I love Swans. I also love that Swans are making an appearance on everything from fashions, to decor and playthings this Spring/Summer Season. I truly hope Swans stay around for a while and that this is not their Swan Song as I really love this trend for babiekins.
This Spring/Summer my favorite fashion trends are the classic staples that are the foundations of our wardrobes: trench coats, shorts and denim– all updated with new washes and embellishments. Here is a round-up of some of my favorite denim fashions in children’s wear that include a chambray playsuit, a classic chambray pinafore, a denim waist bag, an embroidered denim dress, embroidered denim shorts, embroidered chambray bloomers, chambray hi-top sneakers and a skull embroidered denim shirt. With any of these goodies your babiekins won’t get the blues this spring – well… not the sad blues, but they will look cool in blue in the denim days ahead!
The two trends that I am loving this spring & summer season are athletic stripe waistband skirts and boxy simple tees; I think these trends look even cuter when paired together! Athletic influences have made their way into day wear and I can’t get enough of the sporty vibe. I especially like sporty details mixed with girly details in bright bold colors topped with a simple cropped tee. Your babiekins will love this look too: why don’t you give it a twirl this spring season?
