One of the craft projects my kids enjoyed most at Christmas-time was making paper snowflakes, so I thought I would adapt that idea for Halloween this year. Instead of using white paper, we used black and instead of cutting out triangles from the folded paper we cut out rectangles. To give it that extra special decorative touch at the end, they were hung from a branch and we added pine cones that we painted black.
Materials
Paper
Scissors
Twine
Branch, optional
Pine cones, optional
Instructions
1. Fold an A4 piece of black paper in half four times. Cut off the top so that it is all one length.
2. Snip off the pointy end and cut rectangle shapes along the length of the paper.
3. Open and hang with twine – on a painted black branch, as we did. Or you could tape to your windows for a different effect. This would look fun if you had candles in your windows too.
