Momkins // Not Your Mama’s Jeans

I love that high waisted jeans are back in style, but with a modern silhouette that makes them totally not like your mama’s jeans she wore in the 80’s. They are super sophisticated and polished, and you can pair them with anything. I like wearing mine with a cropped crochet shirt and a printed boot to add texture and depth to my flare denim. Say bye-bye to your low cut jeans and make friends with a higher waist.

Momkins // Grey on Grey

By Brittany Williams, Former Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

Grey is not a typical color that most associate with happiness. For me however, it makes me smile because it is the perfect neutral base for any outfit. I find myself gravitating toward more grey than ever before. Pair this dull shade with black and it’s chic, brown and it’s earthy, navy and it has a cool vibe. I also love wearing different hues of grey at the same time for a more monochromatic look. A graphic tee that has a long and lean cut, paired with a shrunken motorcycle jacket in a different shades of grey, makes for a casual but fun outfit that I can wear running after my kids or running errands all over town. Navy corduroy flares add a different twist then typical denim, and boom! Nothing dull or moody about this ordinary color. Babiekins Magazine | Grey on Grey

Momkins//Ruffles & Lace

I love clothing with feminine details like ruffles and lace. If I can simply pull on a cozy sweater with romantic detailing and feel put together, it’s a no brainer in my book. As moms, it is easy to feel “run down” in between errands, diaper changes, and car pool duty. Getting dressed in key pieces with great detailing, that are also comfortable is a great way to feel a little more chic while being in mommy mode.

Another thing I like to do when dressing in ultra feminine pieces, is throwing in some edge. I am all about an eclectic mix of accessories and clothing to make any outfit more unique. Lately I have been pairing girly sweaters with ripped denim and studded boots. Who says you can’t have a little ballerina and rock star attitude all at once?!

Copyright © 2022 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
