Babiekins Magazine || District Mot Kids
“Inspiration comes in many forms. Our story begins in Vietnam. My mom and dad immigrated to the United States in 1980 from District Mot in Saigon, Vietnam. They inspire me every single day.
District Mot Kids, an exciting new clothing line for infants (newborn to 3T), honors my parents, my heritage, and my desire to make a difference in the world.
A collection of baby clothes made with exceptionally soft fabrics, that combine comfort, durability, and stylish designs. Whether our rompers, onesies, or dresses, babies will be snuggled in love because every product is made with love. You will see it in the quality and detail.
Designed and produced in Los Angeles with an homage to Vietnamese style and heritage. DMK clothing is handcrafted from specially selected up-cycled fabrics composed of sustainable fibers. Not only is our clothing line locally made, but our process is also environmentally friendly.
In addition, each sale will generate hope for another baby in need. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to Children of Vietnam, a charity dedicated to improving lives of kids and babies. With every purchase at DMK, it is one baby helping another.
Not expecting this from an infant clothing line? It’s everything that you would expect from District Mot Kids – Style, Quality, Comfort. I invite you to browse our shop Districtmotkids.com I am sure you will find the perfect outfit for your baby”.

Momkins//Tropical Love

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

Let’s talk about rompers! Not for littles, but for mamas. We are kind of obsessed. They are so easy to throw on and are so practical to wear when hanging with your little ones. Tropical prints are so current and on trend- we wish summer would get here already. Fresh coconut water, palm trees swaying in the wind, and rompers- yes, please!

Fashionkins // Romper Around

I have a son, but I must admit if I had a daughter, I would love to dress her in an adorable Romper. There is nothing I love more than seeing a little girl romp-er-ing around in one of these must have summer essentials. The more gathers, frills, ruffles or trims it has the better. I do love a simple one color understated modern print in a romper though; such as a stripe, geometrical, dot or heart. These rompers are all just too cute for me not to share with you… what is your favorite fashion item for your babiekin?

Your babiekins will be faster than the speed of light when Lighting Strikes in one of these cute graphic tees, sweaters, sneakers, or with these wall decals. These adorable Lightning Bolt goodies are a fun new way to give new attitude to your little superheroes!

Featurekins // Bubble London

By Donna Tweedale, Former Contributor Leave a Comment

This weekend I attended Bubble London; A large trade show that gives children’s wear brands a platform to unveil their new collections. Bubble proved to be a diverse show, from very well established brands to new brands who were exhibiting their lines for the very first time.

Bubble awards a brand  debuting at the show an award for innovation and commercial appeal. Previous winners of this ‘Rising Star’ award include Raspberry Plum, Plumeti Rain and Wolf and Rita. This year ”Oh…My! London” were crowned the winners for their line specialising in occasion dresses.

Babiekins Magazine | Bubble London | Mummymoon

Mummymoon is a brand Babiekins first featured in 2012. This season will see them pushing the boundaries in shapes in childrenswear. The construction of their line of denim and soft fluid basics is something to really appreciate.

Babiekins Magazine | Bubble London | Elks

Elks is a new brand bringing beautifully whimsical knitwear and tweed. Handmade in Ireland using Alpaca wool, the finest merino and Irish linen. Inspired by Ireland’s cultural history. With a stunning use of colour and herringbone detail. Think cute bonnets, satchels and scarves.

Babiekins Magazine | Bubble London | Raspberry Plum

AW15 has Raspberry Plum extending their innovative tailoring into baby rompers, borg lined jackets and knitwear. Jumpsuits that would make a sharp alternative to a party dress. Each piece maintaining the pops of colour, great use of fabric and pattern that make up Raspberry Plum’s signature style to create a strong cohesive line to really get excited about.

Babiekins Magazine | Bubble London | Sticky Fudge

Sticky-Fudge. These boots are such a simple concept but so beautifully done. The padded jackets, use of print and subtle metallic touches bring together a range of versatile ready to wear basics.

Babiekins Magazine | Bubble London | Poppy England

Poppy England. Beautfully illustrated dresses, where the attention to detail is second to none. Each dress comes with a short story, the story is brought to life through the characters on the dress. Such a beautiful concept to ignite your little Babiekin’s imagination.

Babiekins Magazine | Bubble London | Mini Melissa

Mini Melissa bring a new take on their love of feline inspired shoes. These super cute pumps would suit boy or girl. And as you would expect from Mini Melissa smell great!

MOLO; promises some big things for 2015. Look out for big moves… Their bold use of animal prints and strong lines continue throughout a range of street wear with real attitude.

Papu; a new Finnish brand with a range of rich ocre, strong monochromatic prints in great basics that we’ve known to love in Scandinavian design.

Braveling; taking tights and leggings to the next step. What can ordinarily be used as a staple, Braveling uses to inject real personality into your little ones wardrobe. Knees will soon be the star of the show!

With so many new brands emerging 2015 will be an exciting year for kids style.

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
