When I was asked to style 7-year-old Madden’s bedroom, I was so excited to create a space
that reflected this fun, loving, energetic and adventurous little boy.
I started by re-arranging the existing furniture to give this small bedroom balance. Next, I knew I
wanted the room to have mostly earth tones but with a pop of color to keep it light and bright. In
this case, the accent color was a bright yellow. The bedding was layered in dark blues and
grays to give the room a masculine feel.
During one of our shopping trips, my client and I found this awesome old trunk at our local
Goodwill store. We placed it at the foot of the bed and it doubles as extra storage and a solid
surface for play. We added many playful accessories (airplanes, arrows, plants) to appeal to
Madden’s adventurous side. Lastly, a soft rug and a blue textured pouf were added to soften all
the rustic wood elements. I love the way it turned out and I had so much fun styling this room for
such a cool kid.

Featurekins // Happy Quirky Halloween

Guest post by Julie Martin in collaboration with Babiekins Magazine

Creating a one-of-a-kind costume for your little babiekins doesn’t have to break the bank. With just a few craft supplies, houseshold items and some creativity, a quirky and unique look is as close as your child’s closet! Mix and match your kiddo’s current wardrobe to create a celery and carrot in dip (add greenery, posterboard and a cute label). Saguaro cactus? All you need is a green ensemble with a few fresh flowers. A fun look for siblings (or twins!) is a lamp and coffee table. Grab a cord for a tail and a lampshade, and pair with a gold dress! To construct the coffee table, simply cut up a large box and leave a hole in the center. Add a couple of books and a flower arrangement!

Like many, I get really excited (okay….really, REALLY excited) when it’s time to see LuckyBoySunday’s new collection. This collection is just as fun as any past collection with the addition of a new charm and face it patterned blanket!

Here is what designers Camilla & Camilla had to say…

” Right now, we are eagerly waiting for the light to come out. The one that sparkles like diamonds in our eyes and faces. That surrounds us with a lucky feeling. So in this collection we are all about diamonds, eyes and faces…let’s turn the light on!”

Fashionkins :: Have a Merry Little Christmas

By Priscila Barros, Editor-in-Chief Leave a Comment

Part 3 of our Christmas editorial was super fun because we thought outside of the box a bit. We used some colorful yarn that was weaved in and out of some dried up walnut trees. When the light hit the trees the yarn just glowed!

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
