Sleepykins // A Modern Room for Play
Guest post by Linda of Live Loud Girl.
These three little dwellers will spend quite some time together is the playroom. It will be the place where home work is made, books will be read and laughs will be shared. A vintage Eames chair with a basic Ikea table make a great study corner. Storage was key so the often used Ikea Besta cabinet was a no brainer. Yet the 3.60 meter custom made shelving, totally upgrades this piece of furniture and makes it look elegant over practical. A reading corner was created with the wooden playhouse and some shelving. Guaranteed hours of fun with this item. The Ane wall decor wallpaper and PLAY sign by Zoe Rumeau give the room the finishing touch.
Sleepykins // Artsy Playroom
When I was designing the playroom in my home for my three young boys, I knew I wanted it eclectic; just like each of their individual personalities. A blend between their love of art and music, mixed with touches of books and various collections, and finished off with pieces remnant of nature. That was the perfect eclectic balance I was looking for, in order for them to each express themselves. This has been such an enjoyable space for us to hang out in as a family, and we love being able to be creative and play for hours on end in the playroom.

Sleepykins//Ashton’s Mini Makeover
As Ashton gets older, I wanted to make a few small changes in his room to make it more suitable for his age and also to reflect his love for animals. It’s a small space, so I wanted to keep it bright and light without too much clutter. Most of the pieces come from small businesses that are local or over the ditch in Australia. I kept a black and yellow base with a few pops of colour.
I hope that it’s a space he can enjoy playing in with great storage to keep his extra special toys close at hand. Most that end up in bed with him at night time. A few key pieces I love are the OyOy Adventures Rug, MintRhopsody Attic house and the Mocka Storage cubes..
