When chaos break out let them be wild and free and enjoy it.

I’ve been on the hunt for a cute mama bag that holds all mine and my kids necessities. I’m not a BIG bag lady… but when I came across Molly G Handbags I knew I found a gem. This thing holds everything and isn’t HUGE. The “Wild Child” bag is designed with hidden pockets that you can put your cell phone and keys in…and if you’re anything like me then you need those compartments.
They have some amazing designs to pick from and are offering our readers 25% off any bag on the site. Use code: BABIEKINS and go spoil yourself. After all it’s Mother’s Day this weekend and we deserve to treat ourselves to something cute.
I’m a very selective person when it comes to pieces in my wardrobe. My clothes have to be multifuntional and work with my lifestyle. You will usually see me in black, gray, white and blush tones… oh and denim.
I love being able to interchange things at a moments notice… and staying with this color pallet makes that possible. For example this top from Santa Marguerite can be put with a pair of jeans and some cute clogs or act as a dress for a night out.
My accessories are the same. I own two purses…I know what mom only owns two purses??? Well me. And this one from Day and Mood is perfect. I love the fringe and it holds so much more then what you would think.
What are your must have items in your closet?
There is something about the desert that just puts my soul to rest. My husband and I used to go out there as kids and we have kept the tradition with our littles.
This last Friday we took them all out of school a day early and decided to go explore. Although I was feeling under the weather and had a long list of things to do… we needed some family time.
While in Borrego Springs, I made sure we got photos of the girls and me. I have been working on a gallery wall in our home for over a year now… and I’m hoping to have it finished by the end of summer. Of course I had to have us all matching in our Minnetonka shoes and Santa Marguerite tops, which couldn’t have been more perfect for the occasion. This trip was one for the memory books and I can’t wait to add some of these photos to our collection. What are some of your favorite places to visit with your family?
We are so excited to see the sun shining and the smell of spring that is right around the corner. The kids have been waiting to wear tank tops and shorts since winter began and I really don’t blame them. Chaser Brand just released their spring clothing line and I am over the moon with the look and quality of this company. Not only do they make rad clothes for mom, but kids too! Check them out.

Living in the eclectic small town of Joshua Tree, there’s not many activities specifically tailored for babies. But we’ve got no shortage of magical natural spaces, & luckily for me Prairie really enjoys spending time outdoors. She’ll often crawl to the door and bang on it, demanding to go play in the yard, so I like to joke that we live in nature’s sandbox. We’ve been packing her along for hikes since she was a tiny baby and so far she doesn’t mind riding in her carrier one bit, although she does like to take breaks to explore. The challenge for me is watching to make sure she doesn’t eat sand or crawl through a cactus! The key to desert dressing is light layers, they act as sun protection, and also you would be surprised how cold it can get here in the evenings and during the winter. These days, our main form of socializing is heading over to a friend’s house for dinner and maybe a campfire. We have a few friends here who operate these amazing bohemian Airbnbs, and it’s always a treat to visit one their inspirational spots. These pictures are of Prairie and I exploring the grounds of the Joshua Tree Casita (http://www.thejoshuatreehouse.com, @thejoshuatreehouse) so of course we had to dress the part in matching mama and me desert florals by Thief & Bandit (http://thiefandbandit.com, @thiefandbandit).
Hi, my name is Anja and I will be doing some body bending & arm twisting alongside my two crazy boys as a featured, fellow Momkin.
As mentioned above, there will be usually the three of us here, and since I believe that good things come in threes, (bad things probably too), I thought I would use this space in between all the body twisting pics to share three things that currently give me life and three things that make my life a little less blissful. So without further ado:
Currently loving // take three:
One// Holiday ads and commercials, I love them, love watching them, looking at them, soaking up the holiday spirit through them, yup some solid marketing…. I am every PR’s dream consumer.
Two// Pumpking everything, on sale, I love pumpkin.
Three// Leo giving kisses, to the cat, to us and to Simon, especially to Simon, my heart, in a puddle. every. time.
Currently frowning upon// take three
One// The other day I really need a soda from the waiting room’s vending machine. Those things never tell you how much they cost, I inserted $2.5 thinking it would be enough, but as I loaded and nothing happened and that was all I had, I hit cancel, two dollar bills and two quarters came out as 25 dimes, yes, twenty five…dimes. I felt like I payed a slot machine.
Two// That it is dark when I get up with the kids, and when I drive them back home from the park.
Three// The boneless moves Leo pulls out now, as soon as he takes two steps into direction he doesn’t want to go, eye roll times three for sure.
What are your “take threes” fellow Momkins? Would love to read some in comments. xo
