With the holiday season in full swing you cannot get enough inspiration on how to decorate your home, right? I’m honored Babiekins asked me to share mine.
I’m all into a simple but sophisticated, warm Christmas. I love white, some black and gold for my decorations. This year I choose to combine white, black and gold with more natural items and add some greenery and marble. Normally we like to have a traditional Christmas tree, but living in Dubai made me look for an alternative: the printed- fabric “tree” from Ikea (www.ikea.com ) and the wooden branches (DIY). Which are both fun and simple alternatives. The fairy lights have been a staple in our home for a couple of years. This time, I choose to hang them as a cluster on the cabinet. The lights shining on old cabinet are great at night. They bring an extra glimmer to the room.
A marble vase holds a bunch of candles and can work beyond the holidays as a traditional vase. Just like the succulents balls, which are very festive in the combination with the little trees on the tray and candles. These also work great after the holidays to get the house a little bit more green.
I really like how the poms poms add a playful effect and some color to the simple wooden branch Christmas tree.
