Fall florals are among some of my favorite prints. Moody and jewel tones scream cooler temps, changing seasons, pumpkin patches, and cornfields! The perfect dresses to take you into autumn are those in a maxi length, billowy, and with a great floral print in fall colored hues. This one from Free People is a good transition piece from summer, because it has pockets and long sleeves, but the material is nice and light. I love the dark color with creamy blooms and pops of olive. Fall dresses are killer with booties and a felt hat, and this one in a camel brown hue reminds me of caramel corn, yummmm. Hello autumn, we are so happy you are here!

The holiday festivities may be over, but that is no reason to retire the color red from your wardrobe. Red is a hue that is flattering on pretty much any skin tone. We love it on this bandana style maxi dress. Maxi dresses are a great piece for transitioning into Spring. During the cooler months, rock your maxi dress with a leather motorcycle jacket and boots. For the warmer days, just pair with great sandals.

My Forever Dress

My Forever Dress tells the story of a grandmother who adds on to her granddaughter’s dress every year, creating a dynamic dress that grows and changes with the girl. (It made me think of courtneycourtney dresses, which are made from reclaimed and upcycled knits — see photo #2 below.)
