The plan to keep little hands busy at the table this Thanksgiving involved a few crafts…and these tiny little walnut shell boats were one of them.
They are so simple to make…as long as you can cleanly break the walnut shells in half!
All you’ll need:
walnut shell halves, cleaned out
toothpicks
washi tape
air dry clay
scissors
Once you’ve cleaned the shells out, roll a tiny bit of clay into a ball and stick it inside the shell.
Place your toothpick into the clay.
Apply pieces of washi tape to the tops of the toothpicks. Trim the tape as necessary to make proper flags.
Then prepare to set sail!
