With Spring on its way over here Downunder we are staring to think bare legs, longer days and less layers. After a long cold winter its exciting to see new season goodness arrive in the shops and the latest collection from our friends at Carbon Soldier is full to the brim of summer gorgeousness. Ive shared some the girls goodies but believe me theres also plenty for the boys too. Its all about linens, bloomers, bows and  bearing some buttons. Head over yourselves to their website to check out the full collection. The best bit is this season they have teamed up with Louis and Loa shoes to bring you some fabulous leather soles you won’t want to miss.

When I first found out a few years back that I was having a boy, I was interested to find out where could I find good quality affordable and on trend threads for Ashton. Girls are easy but theres not so much out there for the boys, or so I thought.

We are super lucky a family member has a children’s clothes designer here in NZ and has the most Fabulous brand Carbon Soldier that caters for a market like myself that like to dress their children in a little off left side designer brands. Carbon Soldier has broken into the European Market as well this season so that pretty exciting for us as we have worn and loved this brand since birth.

Teamed with a few goodies from our favourite online NZ children’s clothes shops we’ve discovered that are now bringing in the likes of Bobochoses and Mini Rodini Ashton is one Dapper Dude. We have also recently discovered another NZ shoe Brand Louis and Lola that are making beautifully hand crafted shoes and boots, a few that are unisex too.

I love dressing him up each day in outfits you don’t see around town too much and will do until that day when he just wants to dress like a All Black.

Funkins//The Perfect Playdate

By Beth Morris, Former Contributor Leave a Comment

Childhood friendships are formed over cups of cold water tea and numerous outfit changes for little girls. Franca is blessed to have a few great little buddies that live just around the corner and go to the same school. We have playdates weekly at each others houses where the little people play while the Mums sip tea and catch up on the gossip. Its such a magical age when their little imaginations create a whole senario of make believe and furniture gets dragged from one end of the house to another to set up the scenes to go with these. Teaparties, babies, dressups, doctors and train rides seem to be the flavour of this month. I cant wait to see what the next one brings. Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
