We are technically not into the Fall season yet, but in the fashion industry, we are always looking at least a season ahead. This gives brick and mortar and online shops the opportunity to preview and order fresh inventory. Earlier this month, designers displayed their Spring/Summer 2015 looks at Playtime New York. There were great styles presented by the children’s fashion industry heavy hitters; and there were also newer designers presenting debut collections. One of the newer labels on the market, One Black Egg, already has a Fall/Winter 2014 line under their belt, but their Spring/Summer 2015 collection blew me away. Aliona Kononova is the designer behind the label. The brand focuses on “livingwear” and also has a line of adult clothing that is delicious and comfortable. Stirrup leggings, anyone?

The children’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection is artful, simple and totally wearable. The California based brand successfully incorporates artwork by famed artist Gary Baseman into some of the pieces in a manner that is sophisticated and still childlike.
