The light in the studio ran wild as children’s small feet slapped against the hard floors. Echoes bounced into air like round balls floating higher and higher on a hot summer’s day. They were consumed, in laughter and in play, in whimsical games and in silly stories. Their spirits soared high in the open airs.

Today they became the light chasers.
Today they became the sun kids.
Today they became free.

Don’t the days of childhood and youth just call out freedom? They call for you to toss your shoes aside, twirl round and round in glowing rays of sunshine and to close your eyes and dream of open fields.

We’re dreaming of enchanting gowns and dresses paired with soft sweaters and earthy hues. We’re dreaming of bare feet and hair loosely tied in a bun. We are dreaming of summer pieces that reflect comfort and style. What are you dreaming of?

Meet Renee.
A young girl who lives at The Broome Hotel in New York City.
She may be youthful but she is full of wit and charm.

The city would love her spunk and character.
The museums would happily frame her candid spirt.
The cafès would eagerly fuss over hot cocoas and sweet treats just for her.

She is a city child.
She knows her block well.
Cast iron buildings rooted into the paved streets.
She knows there is history but she is a modern girl.

A modern girl living in a modern building.
She knows every crook and cranny of The Broome Hotel.
But watch out!
Those mysterious and curious eyes can be misleading.

She likes to chew gum.
Read unusual books.
Doodle on scraps of Father’s paper.
She likes to make silly faces.

She is an inquisitive young girl.
She is Renee at The Broome Hotel.

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
