Fashionkins // Lounging Threads

By Zacha Carpenter, Contributor Leave a Comment

As a stay at home mom, the majority of our time is spent at home. I am not much of a homebody, but between cleaning, cooking and keeping up with the house, I am forced to spend time indoors. Because Kaylee has not started school yet, she has been my sidekick at home for the past 4 years. It’s always nice to have threads to wear when lounging that still make you feel somewhat fashionable in your daily life. I am constantly in search of clothes that are both comfortable and practical for being at home (since that’s where we spend the majority of our time). I specifically look for two things when shopping for her clothes- the fit, and the fabric. It must be soft and movable. This is one of my daughters favorite jumpsuits because of how soft the velvet feels on her skin. My favorite part of these types of pieces is how well they transition from comfortable to fashionable, with just a few simple accessories!

Fashionkins // Romping Around

By Jenny Smith, Contributor Leave a Comment

Rompers and jumpsuits have always been a staple in Carter’s wardrobe—as previously shown here—they’re an excellent layering piece. I’m so delighted to have recently added this “Happy Romper” to Carter’s wardrobe. Comfort always comes first when it comes to dressing my boys, but that doesn’t mean you have to trade style for ease or vice versa. This hooded romper is made of lightweight organic French Terry and is great for year round wear. Non-restrictive and just right for indoor or outdoor, at home or out in the world—I never feel guilty having Carter in this romper all day. Fashionkins // The Jumpsuit

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

Jumpsuits evoke a utilitarian feel and provide a modern and streamline look that is currently on trend. For women, we’ve seen these pieces dressed down with sneakers and crossbody bags and dressed up with heels and clutches. We love how brands and designers have interpreted the jumpsuit for children. Versatile and comfortable, it can be accessorized and layered, or worn alone. It’s such an easy outfit to pick out for your little babiekins for a day filled with adventure.

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
