When dreaming up costumes for your babiekins, don’t be afraid to think conceptually. Julie shows us how sculpting feathers into deer antlers, creates a dramatic and unique costume.
DIY Deer:
1. Pull a simple cream or even tan/brown dress from her closet.
2. Add a touch of face paint
3. Grab a cute skirt (a la the grey/silver Velveteen skirt) to wear as a trendy capelet.
You can even buy a small cut of faux fur, as I did with the cream minky fabric and the brown faux fur. Wrap around her shoulder and quick-sew a couple of buttons or a bow!
4. Make or buy a simple pair of antlers (even from cardboard!), and she’s the most unique and stylish deer in the neighborhood.
