As Babiekins blog readers know, I scour the sales & charity shops regularly. I’m also not too proud to receive a bin bag full of hand-me-downs and have been known to save the children’s clothes for a decade or more to pass on to younger siblings. But sometimes, a brand new something comes along that I love and I know that I can mix in with their second-hand mish-mash. This aviator hood from WOVENPLAY is just one of these pieces. I watched for sales and waited…and eventually the hat was MINE! (well, my boy’s) thanks to Quirky Collective.
He likes it because it makes him look like a pilot. I like it because it keeps his ears warm and looks amazingly steampunk.
Hat: £more than I’d usually spend Wovenplay, Hoodie: £10 Gap post-Halloween sale (2010), Blazer: £3 H&M sale, Jeans: £3 Primark (altered for skinniness), Cowboy boots: £7 (super cheap shop in an American mall), Total for outfit: £23
And mothers of boys, please take note: Every little boy needs a pair of cowboy boots.
Yours Truly,
Andrea

p.s. According to the boy, if he yawns, it makes the wind stop…if you were wondering about the second photo.
