Lily and Jules’ bedroom has slowly evolved into what it is now, a little girly, yes, as this is mainly Lily’s space until Jules will move in as well. Their room is filled with mostly vintage items I found and fell in love with. The room also contains small treasured items from her great-grandparents; like the “Lily Special” box, that was in my grandfather’s painting studio and the pink glass jar from my husband’s grandmother.
Lily and I love to craft together, we use our mother/daughter time to make things. Over the Christmas holiday, we made paper maché bunny heads to represent her and her little brother. It took weeks of slow work but now she’s so proud to show it off to everyone that comes over.
I think their room will evolve again as Jules gets older and his personality shines through. For now, he is only three months old and doesn’t sleep there yet, but hopefully soon. I can’t wait to see them play together in their shared space.
