Little Explorer

I can not believe that my little man is going to be four next week, his birthday falls on the change of seasons as the nights get cooler and the days get shorter here in New Zealand. With that comes out a new season of wardrobe staples we have been stocking up on for the last few months. We are going for twin sets and patterns this season with some of our favourite brands and a few new ones we’ve discovered. Though I feel the hulk dressup I have stashed away for this guys Super Hero birthday party may be the thing worn the most.

In our home town of Auckland here in New Zealand, winter has arrived so it’s all about layering the children at the moment. It was also Queen’s Birthday weekend here and a long weekend so are some fun activities happening around the city to celebrate. We went and explored the big smoke today and the winter sunshine came out to play.

We found a festival down at the Wharfs and visited our Maritime Museum for the first time, it was fun finding new places that the children loved right here on our front door, we were venturing inside and out so they were losing and gaining layers all day, and guess who has to carry them.

We love supporting small New Zealand online shops that talented Mums with children of their own have set up to be able to stay at home with their children so most of the kids clothing are brought from these smart Mums.

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
