Travelkins // The Final Countdown – Wild River Country

Summer is winding down and soon we will buckle down and start on our homeschool year. But we are squeezing in every last pool party, s’more and camping trip we can.

It has been hot here in Arkansas which means we are always trying to find ways to cool down and since our partnership with Wild River Country, the boys have been doing nothing but asking to go back.

And here is why

Let’s talk Wild River Attractions (they have more than this but these were my kids favorites)…

The Thrilling 3 – An aqualoop, speed slide and free fall plus!.

Vortex – This dark ride is full of twists and dips and turns and one of the rides the boys wanted to ride again and again.

Wave Pool – A favorite in my house because it reminds us of the relaxing waves at the beach! Waves peak every 10-minutes.

Tad Pool – A fun section for the little tots which includes waterfalls, slides and the splashin’ tree frogs!

Cyclone – A four-person raft ride which is the largest raft ride in Arkansas.

Fun right?

You can even win a four-pack of tickets HERE

Don’t forget to check out their calendar with savings and special events HERE

Friday Aug. 10 is family fun night when admission is only $10 a person and if you’re a season pass holder you can get your family and friends in for only $5!

We look forward to spending a couple more weeks at Wild River Country and even pop in once during the school year for their Haunted Trail in October!

We want to see your summer adventures too! Hashtag us at #babiekinssummer so we can see what you’re doing with your #babiekins!

It’s officially our first summer here in Arkansas and we are enjoying learning and experiencing being in the South!

We traded our dry desert climate (in San Diego)  for a lush humid one and we are (trying) to appreciate everything that comes with this climate. Summer storms (my favorite!), chasing fireflies and my uncontrollable curls.

One thing we all do miss is our pool and my little fish were excited about the chance to check out Wild River Country in North Little Rock!

We haven’t explored much because of our farmhouse renovation so this was a welcomed break!

Wild River Country is Arkansas’ largest water park with over 12 slides! Perfect for summer fun, parties and a break from the heat. They have a fun lazy river which I could easily stay in for hours, cabanas perfect for your next party and a sweet tad pool perfect for the little ones that want to get wet but don’t know how to swim.

I would recommend getting season passes so that you can enjoy the park all season long. Also take a look at their event calendar as they do a lot of activities throughout the year!

I will be writing about my trips to Wild River Country through the upcoming months and I even have a cute video to share with you!

Until then, enjoy these images!

#NWAChampionship is a fun event in Northwest Arkansas and something I was excited to see and explore. Our family doesn’t know much about golf or golfing besides that I am really bad at miniature golfing (ha), so it was a welcome break from our crazy farm renovation.

The #NWAChampionship games is a safe and family-friendly event that happens in Arkansas. It brings golfers from all over the world to one place and allows families to come and watch. It has been a great way to give back to the community through various activities and it’s affordable too! Kids 17 and under get in free and daily tickets are only $10.

The Sam’s club kids center had a ton of fun activities including making slim, making art out of post-it notes and a mini golf are for the kids. There was also a place where you could meet the golfers and get autographs and photos!

They had a yoga class, 5k race and a ton of little hangout spots!

@NWAChampionship is a great activity to take your family to and if you are in the area come to check it out! Tournament dates are June 18-24 and tickets can be purchased here.
