One of my three sons has a birthday on January 2nd. And every year, he talks about how he wishes he could have a summer birthday, so he could celebrate with swimming, beach time, ice cream outside, and more. It got me thinking — how many other kids probably feel the same?
So I decided it was time to create a party with all the fun summer staples — but inside and away from the cold. Do you want to create a summer getaway in the dead of winter, too? Here’s how we did it!
FUN AND GAMES //
Playing classic games like “apples on a string” is fun, but how much MORE fun is it with donuts?
Play musical chairs, seaside-style. Use beach chairs, and scramble around to your favorite surfer music.
Use nothing more than pool noodle and your imagination, try to get your fun colored balloon into a bucket — the team with the most points win.
On your mark, get set, go! Time your littles, and see who can get in their summer outfits the fastest.
Lets play ring toss, but with a twist. Get your favorite inflatable rings, and see how many you can throw on your friend.
And here’s another fun party game: the inflatable photo op. Gather all those cute floaties, and pose!
EAT //
There is nothing that says summer more than a good In-N-Out meal. (And a bonus — you don’t have to cook!)
