Lil’ Stylekins // Bike Style

By lisa Leave a Comment

I was so thrilled when I was asked to contribute to Babiekins blog a few weeks ago. As you could imagine I jumped at the invitation and my mind has been a whirl with ideas and sourcing inspiration from all over the place.

My name is Lisa and I am the Mum to a beautiful boy, Oscar, wife to a gorgeous loving husband and store owner of e-boutique Style Trader (www.style-trader.com.au)

Living here in Australia we are so lucky to have pretty much perfect outdoor weather most of the year round. Thank goodness as my little man Oscar, is definitely a boy who L.O.V.E.S to be outside. From the moment that Oscar was able to sit in the baby seat on the back of the bike we as a family have enjoyed bike riding around town to cafes, to the park, even to do the groceries.

Because of Oscar’s love of outdoors and also ridding bikes we are a little bike crazy in our household and I thought it would be fitting to do our very first Babiekins piece on Oscar’s style incorporating bikes.Taking inspiration from street style photos I set out to create a shoot similar to something that you would see of a fashionista during fashion week cruising the streets on their bike.

Oscar’s style here and most of the time is rather sporty. We like to mix up new brands and also incorporate a great pair of sneakers.

A couple of weeks ago I was introduced to cool Australian label Hubble & Duke. I am a sucker for a good print tee and instantly feel in love with this label. The “one of a kind tee” was so suited for Oscar as he certainly is one a kind and perfect for our bike street style shoot! Thinking James Dean on his motorbike.

Hubble & Duke have a great range of uni sex print tee’s – so make sure you check them out! Oscar is also wearing

Copyright © 2021 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
