Babiekins Magazine

A Trendsetting Magazine & Online Community For The Trendsetting Child + Parent

Momkins // Junior Time

By Priscila Barros, Editor-in-Chief 11 Comments

Hello Babiekins readers, this is Helena from The Junior. I´m one of four bloggers who are now writing for Babiekins Blog once a week, I´m on every Tuesday. I just want to introduce myself with this first post. I´m a Swedish editorial designer living in Oslo with my husband and (soon to be) two year old daughter, Lykke.

I am passionate about kids fashion and style and hope to bring to your attention lots of new and lesser known brands (and of course old favorites). My special interest is the gap between the High Street brands and the expensive and sometimes pretentious ‘designer’ labels. There are a growing number of exciting smaller labels creating unique garments designed specifically for children. Not too mention vintage pieces which can be mixed and matched to great effect on a budget. Please feel to give me feedback on my posts here or stop by www.thejunior.no.

    Hi Andrea,
Thanks for a lovely comment! The shoes are from French brand Bonpoint (http://www.Bonpoint.com/). I got them on sale last summer but I know they have the same styles available this year as well.

    Beautiful photo’s…

looking forward to reading your once a week blog. Will be great to read someone who is thinking about the labels which are not ‘high end, designer brands’ but have an authentic, original, high quality & for my own label, one-of-a-kind. I’ve been learning how to reach an audience. So I am looking forward to reading all you have to offer.

Copyright © 2026 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
