Storykins // Charlie and Lola

By Gina Munsey, Senior Editor 7 Comments

When I was a single working professional, I sometimes babysat on the weekends and after office hours. Two of the delightful children I spent a good deal of time with were being raised in the United States by a British father and an American mother. It was during this time that they introduced me to the Charlie and Lola show. I probably shouldn’t admit this in public, but I started collecting the DVDs for myself shortly afterward, and told myself that someday I’d dress my future children like Charlie and Lola.

Here’s how you can get the look for your own little Charlie or Lola!

How to Dress like Lola from Charlie and Lola - Sudo and Duns Sweden clothes

1. Dream Sequence Grandpa Tee via Sudo // 2. Duns Sweden Stripey Tights via Hei Moose

Charlie and Lola - Mini Rodini Parka - Jeans Street Trousers

3. Mini Rodini Green Lincoln Parka via Nordic Kids // 4. Jeans Street via Kido

Charlie and Lola - Umbrella and Tunic - Get the look

5. Children’s Green Umbrella via Raindrops // 6. Katvig Knitted Dress via Made for Kids

OH – I’m so glad you did a match for her coat (although I wish it were a coat – I’d love a coat like that for my daughter or me!) makes me want to pull out the books and do some interior decorating based on it as well!

The raincoat actually exists 🙂 The Danish brand “Danefæ” produces great coats in colourful designs much like Lola’s coat. They can be found in both adult and children sizes. We are a Danish/French/American family, and we absolutely love Charlie and Lola as well. We have a lot of the books, and even though my kids are now 8 and 11 they remain a common reference 🙂

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
