Featurekins // PetiteSHOP: A Children’s Charity Pop-Up Supporting The NY Foundling

By Debbie Jovel, Contributor Leave a Comment

PetitePARADE has partnered with The New York Foundling to create petiteSHOP: A Children’s Apparel and Accessories Charity Pop-Up supporting one of the most respected non-profit organizations in NYC raising awareness for National Foster Care Month.

I am honored to share with you some students from The Foundling’s Haven Academy helping petiteSHOP to raise awareness for this important cause by having fun in front of the camera. Haven Academy is the first School in the Nation specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of students in the child welfare system. The New York Foundling believes that all children have the right to grow up in loving and healthy environments that provide the foundations for success.

If you are in NYC, visit PetiteSHOP pop-up to shop for a cause and support The Foundling: at 27 Christopher Street at Waverly Place on Friday, May 1st through Sunday, May 17th for long weekends (Thursday – Sunday from 11am-7pm).

About Debbie Jovel, Contributor

I am a mom who has spent the last 20+ years working in the fashion Industry; my passion for fashion truly is 24/7. I have directed and managed Creative Design teams for global brands designing and developing: children's wear; women's wear; hard goods; beauty products; accessories & footwear. I love writing for Babiekins as my outlet for all things petit because I get to share my favorite fashions, decor and playthings with my fellow moms -- a result of my constant obsession with pinning and trend research which really never shuts off! I consider myself very "pinteresting" because I am always on the search everywhere for inspiration. Together, my family and I (my husband, son, dog and cats) love to explore and travel to experience and discover everything and anything new. I am a Minnesota girl who moved to New York City, then San Francisco, then Germany and can't wait to see where in the world our next adventure will be. Yes, I am busy; but I enjoy every second of motherhood, designing, traveling, exploring, writing, living, loving and laughing. You can find me on Instagram @petit_swag.

Copyright © 2021 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
