FEATUREKINS // Katarzyna Sókoł

Are you ready for a serious case of cuteness?
This little Polish brand is a good one, let me tell you. The fabrics are amazingly good and I would order again just for the gorgeous package in which the clothes arrived.
The collection is clean, simple and übercute.

I asked Katarzyna some questions. You know the drill by now.

Can you tell us how it all started ?
It all began in highschool. I would alter my clothes, sometimes painted them or just added something to them. The biggest project was my prom dress. I designed it myself (still have it ).In 2013 a friend of mine, a mom of a beautiful girl, asked me to desing maxi skirts for her and something special for her daughter. The joy my projects gave her pushed me to create my own brand.
How would you describe your brand?
Elegant mostly, simple and minimalistic? A friend of mine told me she couldn’t find minimalistic kids clothing in chain shops and when I looked into it, I realised showrooms and boutiques with kidswear are only just arising on the Polish market. I love simple forms and it gave me an idea of combining the feeling with my friend’s suggestion.
What is your favourite combination or piece of your collection?
That’s a very difficult question, because  every piece of collection is made with full contribution and, most importantly, wholeheartedly. With every new design I become more familiar with the world of kids and I constantly learn about the fashion market as a whole. Considering all my projects, my personal favourite is Cosmic sand blouse for girls, it combines something elegant, curious and, at the same time its very childlike.
Where do you get your inspiration?
During my studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, I used to work with children. I ran workshops and lessons at the museum. We drew and painted together, while exploring the museum. I had time to watch the kids and how they react to the world. I took my time talking to them, gaining inspiration from their point of view. My very own inspiration is the Universe, planets and stars observation, every piece of a night sky. I love the idea of how small we are in comparison to the magnitude of space. Planets, galaxies, nebulas – it all inspires me to create new things. Being a fan of fashion world, new trends and beautiful fabrics, I am happy to be able to merge my passions all together.
Do you have children? Which brands do you like the most for them?
I don’t have children yet. I’ve just finished my education and I would like to devote myself to work for now, however I really love children and see myself as mom one day. In the meantime, I continue my work with kids. Brands for children – I love this movement in our fashion market. I’m happy to see more and more new brands, they all are so different and unique. I love to watch how they grow and think, how they create new things. Its really hard to say which one I like the most. If I had to list my favourite brands, I think the list would be quite long.

This is Katarzyna’s favourite piece.

You can find the dress on sale HERE.
You can email her about the sweater. Jules’ elephant trousers are from Mini Rodini, you can find them HERE.

The brand hasn’t got a webshop yet, but if you can’t find what you want HERE, you should check out her facebookpage or instagramfeed and email her. She made the lace collar dress for Jeanne in a smaller size. She truly is the sweetest lady.
Thank you, Katarzyna.

xoxo

Copyright © 2026 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
