To our great dismay, lately we have encountered more and more images portraying young kids made up, dressed, and posed like little adults — and fewer and fewer images capturing the pure, innocent, wild magic of childhood. But childhood is what Babiekins has always been about. We’ve always been different than the other magazines. Like we say in our mission statement, “Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults”. And today, we just want to pause for a moment and remind you again of our commitment to preserve and protect children. We want to stop and remind you of our stand against against the suggestive, provocative, and over-sexualized images which have become all-too-common in the children’s fashion industry — and encourage and empower you to stand up for innocence as well. And we want to assure you that we as an editorial team are committed to being more selective than ever about the kind of images we choose to be associated with. After all, fashion and art should never, ever, take priority over childhood innocence.
