Hi friends! sooo, long time no see, “who the heck are you really?” is probably going through your, heads well I know, I know, I am this mom who blogs only once every three months ; ) but to my excuse, I had some reasons for my absence… I went back to work.

After over two years of not working, I pivot, and jumped on the working train again, just closed my eyes and hopped  back on and here I am. And man! what a ride it has been, what a RIDE, all caps, all called for!

There is at least a gazillion of emotional conflicts that I still have not processed, I think there is a long, emotionally loaded blog post in the making, I am sort of, kind of, pregnant with it, hopefully I will labor it into words at some point, and hopefully before I retire… but apart from that, there is also that aspect, a small one but yet, another one to add to the load, the aspect of CLOTHES.

Like how do you go from mothering full time to working full time, while dealing with kids in the morning – in terms of CLOTHES. Like how do you go about it? I am such a basic kind of gal, give me a white -tee-trashed-jeans-and-converse – type, I use dry shampoo to style my hair – like to is the only product way. So how do you go to business attire from that?

Yeah… Well, let me tell you that the first couple weeks I think I raised some eyebrows with my interpretation of what formal attire is, but now that I got the new me, the office me, a little more figured out – a mere 90 days later – I can see that the business attire slowly ventures back into my casual one.

Like a crisp white blouse for example, I want to wear it outside of my office’s walls, it is so good with jeans, with joggers, with shorts, I recommend it to anyone, anytime and yes, anywhere. Or trench coats, the classic-lines, the wool-blend coats! I want t wear them to the park, ding my groceries, going to the bank, I feel comfortable yet put together and they look cool with heels and with sneakers!

So here is to a new normal, to transformations and symbiotic relationships, to making it work and learning from it too, because a woman has to juggle so many hats, has to adjust to so many circumstances, and clothes are just a mere metaphor of all the adjustments she needs to make.
