The Word On The Street | Cool Boys Threads

By Sammy Eng, Contributor Leave a Comment

Awkward hellos at the door.
The feeling of we don’t fit in.
Uneasy banter in the corridor.
The times we feel we need approval.
Stop. Why?
The word on the street.
Honesty is cool. Kindness is cool.
Helping those who need it most is cool.
Being YOU is cool.

Sharing our love for urban boys fashion on Melbourne streetscape.
Fashion ready for school or weekend hangs.
Being you is cool.
And it’s even more cool to share the threads with your little sis!

About Sammy Eng, Contributor

Hello. I’m Sammy -- mama of three little people, wife to a beautiful soul, self-confessed kids fashion addict who enjoys drinking coffee, good food and of course wine. Home is Melbourne Australia.

My love for kids fashion definitely blossomed when my baby girl was born five years ago after having two gorgeous boys. Cliche. I know. We love quirky fashion brands & styles where kids can show off their true personalities. It puts a smile on my face Every.Single.Time.

In the last few years I have been working with small biz creatives in digital marketing to help create visual content to tell their story. Shooting for Babiekins Magazine has been an amazing opportunity. Being able to showcase our unique style and collaborate with talented local photographers is what we love to do. You can find me styling and creating on Instagram @chasing_soph and @chasing_rascals.

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
