Momkins // Hers and Hers For UK Mother’s Day

By Donna Tweedale, Former Contributor Leave a Comment

Over here in the UK, we’re getting ready to celebrate Mothers Day with our babiekins. And how better to celebrate a day with our little ones than with some fun twinning? These adorable ’50s-silhouette dresses are a great fit for any shape and so versatile. Mamas, team yours with some hi-tops for everyday, or throw on some heels.

This vibrant zoo print is so fun, and it’s brand-new to Bryony & Co. for SS16.

Travelkins :: Waimanalo, Oahu, HAWAII

By Dixie, Former Contributor 1 Comment

I LOVE Waimanalo.  Located on the East side of our island, is the most beautiful stretch of beach, where a little community of mostly Hawaiians reside.  It’s on the way to Kailua and there are some nice vacation rental properties as well.  We live right around the corner from here and it is one of our most treasured places to spend our past time.  Today, we paid a visit to our favorite animal farm right on the main highway across from the ocean, and took a dip right in front where we were the only ones on the entire stretch of miles and miles of beach.  There’s a coconut stand where a family sells fresh ice cold coconut juice and uncle will slice and dice your coconuts to eat.  If you are visiting, this experience right here is definitely one for the books and a true indigenous experience.

TRAVELKINS :: A Weekend Road Trip to Washington, D.C. – The National Zoo with Kids

By Gina Munsey, Senior Editor Leave a Comment

Aubrey’s back, this time inviting us along with her and her family as they explore the National Zoo! -Editor

—

Last Saturday, we made the three hour drive from Philadelphia to Washington D.C. for a quick two days of fun.

On the Babiekins Magazine Blog :: A Weekend Road Trip to Washington, D.C. – The National Zoo with Kids

Our first stop was the National Zoo.  It’s part of the Smithsonian Institute, and an added bonus? There’s no admission fee!

Fun and brightly-colored animal-themed t-shirts and prints are a must for my babiekins, especially at the zoo!  On the Babiekins Magazine Blog :: A Weekend Road Trip to Washington, D.C. – The National Zoo with Kids

The National Zoo is quite large (it covers over 150 acres) and a bit hilly so we were prepared to do a lot of walking.

I chose comfortable sneakers, and fedora hats for stylish sun protection. Fortunately, there are fun water misting machines along the walking paths to help us beat the heat!

On Sunday, we went for a hike through Rock Creek Park, a national park in the heart of D.C. The roads throughout the park are closed to vehicles on the weekend and it very popular for joggers and bicyclists.

The weather was perfect and we even spotted a deer with her two fawns.

When’s the last time you visited the zoo near your home?

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
