Well, out of the conveniences of New York City (delivered groceries, public transport, coffee and bodegas on each corner), it’s best to arrive in the Hamptons prepared! Elizabeth Pettey, our digital photo editor who spent two months in Sag Harbor this summer, has curated six Babiekins-esque “Hamptons Essentials” you won’t want be without if you’re vacationing East of Manhattan.

I don’t know about you, but summer has just begun and I am already counting down the days until my summer vacay. In my opinion, nothing is more perfect than a vacation in summer that includes splashing around with your babiekins, and whether you like the lake, a pool, or the beach, Kid & Coe has kid-friendly property rentals that include all of the above. In fact, I have several rentals saved on my desktop to choose from for our family summer vacation – I cannot wait! Are you ready for your summer vacay?
If you ever get the chance to travel to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, I suggest booking a one way flight and never returning home. The beaches are dreamy, the locals are friendly, and there is plenty of open land and beaches for the little ones to run around and explore. By the end of our short trip, my little one was saying “muchas gracias” to anyone who let her. I love immersing her in different environments and cultures and watching her interact with different people. There are only a few cities that I would travel to more than once with a toddler, and this one is definitely on the list.
If you are like me a family vacation can sometimes be more difficult and stressful than relaxing and fun. Everything from finding the perfect place to stay to what little “Susie” will need the three days you are away all adds up and can be very demanding.
Kid & Coe — a new company designed to take the stress out of planning a family trip — has now created an easy-to-navigate and stylish website that is dedicated to helping families find kid-friendly and practical rental homes.
The founder, Zoie Kingsbery Coe traveled the world while managing her husband’s music career, kids-in-hand, and was often disappointed in what hotels had to offer growing families. So, Zoie decided that life would be much easier if families could speed time away in kid-friendly properties that had the comforts of their own home!
I recently stayed in Kid & Coe’s Casperville Residence in Heber City, Utah. This home boasts 5 bedrooms and 3 baths including a nursery, which was a God-send after 13 hours in the car! Plenty of toys, books, fun family DVDs and a beautiful backyard made this home perfect for any family. I felt right at home and it really helped us to unwind after a long ride in the car! The boys loved how each room had a character of its own — the astronaut room, the cowboy-themed room and a more shabby chic room for those of you who have girls.
