Putting color into quarantine

By Ashley Larson Leave a Comment

Being in quarantine for countless days, we started to feel overcome by the monotonous familiarity of our home. The same walls, the same clothes, the same people. Don’t get me wrong- we love our home and our family- but we missed the color and spontaneity of the outside world. So in an attempt to brighten our outlook and see things from a fun, new perspective- we created these images.

Love Winter Outside | Exploring with AW19 Style

By Sammy Eng, Contributor Leave a Comment

We see a glimpse of sunshine.

It peaks through the winter clouds.

The wind is cool. The air is fresh.

We feel adventure. We love winter outside.

Exploring our nature.

Finding treasures on the ground.

Run to keep warm. Jump to be happy.

There is never a dull moment. We love life outside.

Sharing our love for new AW19 kids styles and exploring winter outside.

Floridian Fall: A Kid’s Fashion Editorial Featuring Fall & Winter Styles

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

I dream of dressing my kids (and myself) in comfy knits and luxurious velvets, but in South Florida, we don’t get to enjoy fall and winter fashions until about February. Even, then, the cooler weather lasts for about a week. In this fashion story, I wanted to explore the contrasts between the tropical climate in South Florida and some of the popular clothing styles available for the cooler months.

Fashionkins // When Friends Meet

By Sammy Eng, Contributor Leave a Comment

Chitter chatter.
Giggles and laughter.
We hug, we cry.
I start, you finish.

Words are not always needed.
Geography does not hinder us.
Time will not make a difference.

Honesty is everything.

Open your heart.
Kindness is queen.

For magic happens,
When true friends meet.

This chapter we share little buddies exploring the beautiful gardens and conservatory whilst making the most of gorgeous northern hemisphere summer fashion in our chilly Melbourne winter. All beautifully captured by our talented friend Kim @oneacornphotography

Sharing our love and passion for all things mini fashion, the true friendships we have made through @Chasing_Rascals are as honest and beautiful as we know. And we would not change a thing.

This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend, which signals the start of the Summer Season and I am thinking of sunshine, barbecues, friends & family and Splish Splashing in the water with my babiekin. A few weeks ago I shared a round-up of bright colored swimwear; today I am sharing another trend I am loving this Summer in swimwear: Primary Colors; Stripes & Dots; and Sporty. I love the Sporty Trend because it is both functional and fashionable and looks cute on boys & girls alike – I really love that!

Stay Sporty this Summer & Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend with your babiekins!

It’s finally summertime and I can’t wait to hit the beach with my son. Will you be heading to a beach or pool this summer? In addition to packing the sunblock, towels and a change of clothes I have rounded up some fun goodies to make your day in the sun a little bit brighter. You can listen to some tunes, snack on watermelon, float on the water, build sandcastles and make lasting memories with your babiekins – Cool Bananas!

Featurekins // Color Shape

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor 1 Comment

While we tend to associate spring fashion with ruffles, florals, and pastels, simple looks are really dominating the current season. Gingham is back, but paired with modern styles. Grid patterns, simple silhouettes, and light weight knits are a fresh alternative to traditional frilly spring fashion.  And we are loving the mix of primary colors and earth tones.

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
