A Merry Mix

By Elizabeth Pettey, Digital Photo Editor Leave a Comment

“Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother’s house we go.” A Merry Mix explores the nostalgic awkwardness of having grandparents chose your clothing during the winter holidays. Shot in New York City where anything goes, the creative team behind this editorial can’t get enough of this merry mix of textures.

There are several ‘dressing-up’ trends this party season that I am excited about. I must admit, these trends look even cuter babiekins sized: cozy knitwear in fun fair aisles or with embellishments; classic shirtings; ruffle details; skirts in tulle or sweater knit and sparkly fabrics – doesn’t every girl love to sparkle at a party? Whatever the occasion, your babiekins will look cute in any of these adorable pint sized trends.

I have a son, and my go-to graphic to add attitude to his outfits has always been skull and crossbones, until now, I am loving Lightning Bolts. Your babiekins will be faster than the speed of light when Lighting Strikes in one of these cute graphic tees, sweaters, sneakers, or with these wall decals. These adorable Lightning Bolt goodies are a fun new way to give new attitude to your little superheroes!

Travelkins // A Stroll Down Clarion Alley

By Debbie Jovel, Contributor Leave a Comment

My family is moving out of the country soon, so we are enjoying San Francisco’s sweater weather and all of our favorite spots in the city. This past weekend we took a stroll down one of my favorite streets in San Francisco, Clarion Alley, a small street between Mission and Valencia Streets in the Mission District. Clarion Alley is known for the Clarion Alley Mural Project and is covered with art that is constantly changing; so it is exciting and different every time we visit. We enjoyed strolling down Clarion Alley to see the new art, chase each other, and laugh a lot. My son’s favorite murals were the colorful flowers and surprise, surprise – the shiny robot. I find Clarion Alley to be inspiring and love sharing art of all mediums with my son.

Copyright © 2022 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
