As a mother, I see the need for a better future for our babiekins and do my best to shop brands that are aware of the impact they have on our environment and who practice sustainability in the production of their goods. The future of fashion includes new alternative materials and new technologies; one alternative is organic farming which works with nature instead of against it. Organic farming creates products in a way that enriches the environment and improves conditions for farmers. Here are some of my favorite organic goodies for babiekins that are fashionable and made by brands who do not compromise social and environmental aspects in their production practices – I LOVE that!

Featurekins // Gardner and the Gang

Nothing says “I’m the coolest kid on this playground” than the COOL (really there’s no better way to articulate it…), comfy, organic (!!) pieces over at Gardner and the Gang . My favorite? A tie between the Swim Suit Cool and anything with their Patric print!

I personally want to high-5 Sweedish designer, Kristin Nystrom, for gifting our kiddos wardrobes with this line (and a fist pump or two for their HUGE sale going on right now + free worldwide shipping).

Featurekins // PiuPia

There aren’t any words necessary… these babiekins’ smiles tell all!

Gates (playing in his Sunshine bodysuit & Summer Blue Pocket trousers) and Virginia (drooling over her Octopus Dots bodysuit + Rainy Day blankie) are obviously in love with their trendy PiuPia onesies! And mums + dads… you’ll be drooling over PiuPia’s soft, organic cotton (as if we needed another reason to snuggle our babiekins)!

This third instalment of “From Carter’s Closet” is brought to you by Mini Mioche, with a dash of Beau LOves (tank) and Moon Fries (slouchy beanie).  If you haven’t heard of Mini Mioche yet, read all about them here. Below are just some of the reasons why I quickly fell in love with this brand.

mini mioche core values:

  • Clothing that is ethically and locally made (designed and manufactured in Toronto, Canada) in a way that is not harmful to the environment or our little ones.
  • Clothing that looks great but also stands the test of time in terms of both style and quality.
  • Clothing that kids love to wear because it is so soft and comfy.

The star of his outfit has got to be the pants! This denim is the softest that you will ever feel. I seldom put Carter in anything but stretchy and comfortable leggings, but I have no problem keeping this Mini Mioche denim on him all day long.  The feel, cut and overall style is just perfection. These super soft, super stretchy jeans are perfect for kids aged 3 months to 6 years and come in 8 different colours.

From Carter’s Closet:

Slouch Beanie // Moon Fries

Stripped Tank // Beau Loves

Grandpa Cardi // Mini Mioche

Denim in “Slate” // Mini Mioche

Salt Water Sandals “Surfer” // Mini Mioche

FEATUREKINS :: g.nancy Sleepwear

Crouching Elephantg-nancy2g-nancy1g-nancy7

g.nancy brightening up bedtime for littles and making sleep time more exciting, a bit frivolous and a lot colourful! I fell in love with g.nancy a few months ago but as I recently saw the new collection now with organic cotton robes ethically made with organic cotton and bio-degradable dyes, a Toto-Knits & g.nancy colab. Ranging from pink flamingos, to koalas and elephants, I just had to share my love for the new collection with BabieKins readers the instant I saw the pink flamingo robe on instagram.

Finally, a sleepwear line for kids that is both whimsical and imaginative. Organic Robes are now available for pre-order through g.nancy and are expected for a March delivery, as is out of stock sleepwear.

Sweet Dreams!

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
