When you’re the baby of 5

Your first bed must be tall

To show you’ve grown up

And you’re no longer small.

My legs are still little

So my mattress is low

We can put it up higher

When my legs start to grow.

You’ll find my toys close

Cos it’s here that I play

I read, dream and jump

Til the sun goes away.

By day it’s my castle

Cosy safe by nightfall

Little lights wrap the posts

So I’m not scared at all.

My toys are away

Warm blankets take place

Nestled down in my bed

To sleep in my space.
