Tonight, we are taking a little break from reality with this illustrated photo story. We love the juxtaposition of the fanciful wardrobe set against the everyday environment.

Featurekins // MAÁ Meets I Dig Denim

By Liz Jacob, Copy Editor Leave a Comment

Hello, my name is Karianne and I am a stay at home mom in Sydney, Australia. I love dressing my kids in awesome clothes that have not cost the environment, nor the people making them, an unfair price. And so I have a blog that focuses on small businesses, ethically produced clothing and, in many cases, organic and recycled materials.

My Instagram account and blog, Free and Wild Child, are where I share bits and pieces from our everyday life here in the city of sunshine and beaches.
This is my first post as a Babiekins contributor, and I hope you will enjoy.

MAÁ Meets I Dig Denim // Photography: Karianne Pettersen | Styling: Karianne Pettersen | Clothing: I Dig Denim | Shoes: MAÁ

For this shoot I mixed I Dig Denims incredible SS14 collection with shoes from MAÁ’s much anticipated AW14 collection. I love how effortlessly cool the kids look in the perfect denim jeans and soft cotton top’s /cotton dress and with shoes you can see from miles away. Nothing else is needed for these looks, but 3 pieces of clothing and 2 pairs of shoes.
(…And of course a beautiful Sydney beach, incredible winter weather and cupcakes with whipped cream)

You can read more about I Dig Denim and MAÁ shoes on my blog Free and Wild Child
and you can easily keep in touch with us on Instagram.

Don’t be a stranger!

Copyright © 2022 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
