Fashionkins // Independence Day Wear

By Emily Rubio, Former Junior Editor, Kids' Style Leave a Comment

It’s no secret that I love festive and celebratory clothing. For this Independence Day, I chose a patriotic romper because it so adorably represents the land of the free because of the brave. The flag especially means a lot to me, since I’m a military wife and we’re a military family. We would love to see how you and your babiekins represent America this year — and we wish you all a wonderful holiday!

It’s 4th of July weekend, a celebration of American Independence that includes enjoying BBQ, family, friends, fireworks and hopefully some fun in the sun. The most patriotic way for your babiekins to celebrate Independence Day and to salute the American flag is to match it by wearing stars and stripes. Stars are a trend in apparel and accessories that are fashionable and classic enough to wear even after the 4th of July day. I have a round-up of some adorable fashions that will have you seeing stars and wanting to pledge allegiance to the American flag. Enjoy and have a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend!

FASHIONKINS // Americana

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

Post by Zacha Carpenter.

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love the idea of families coming together to celebrate our great nation’s independence. If you really think about it, it’s a pretty big deal! Not to mention the distinct aromas of BBQ and fireworks. It’s one of the only holidays in our family, where everyone gets into the spirit and wears red, white, and blue. I was definitely inspired this year by the laid back style of the 70’s. The iconic Americana feel of that era reminds me of a classic time in our history and makes for a perfect fourth of July outfit for boys and girls!

Craftykins // 4th of July Sprinkle Fireworks

By Lexi Leave a Comment

It’s hard to believe, but the 4th of July is right around the corner. With that, comes all the fun projects and parties! These 4th of July Sprinkle Fireworks are the perfect addition to a summer soiree for the kids OR the adults! They’re flame-less so they’re safe for all ages and they make the ice cream eating easy! (Not that it wasn’t easy already.)

They’re made by simply decorating empty push pop cups with colorfully patterned paper and double-stick tape! Once they’re wrapped, fill them with sprinkles and you’re set!

I can envision this working for a slew of different holidays. Perhaps some silver & gold sprinkles for New Year’s Eve?

Copyright © 2021 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
