Momkins // Dewy Walks To School

By Donna Tweedale, Former Contributor Leave a Comment

School mornings can be a race against the clock to get out on time. I try to organise the kids out the door 5 minutes earlier than we really need to, allowing enough time to stroll. Walking hand in hand take in the Autumn days dewy beginnings. Taking time to stop and let the snails pass, count the cobwebs draped between the fences, kick the piles of crisp leaves.

I’ll be sure to have a large tote bag to throw everything the kids need for their day so my hands are free to hold theirs and we’re ready to go. Hats are becoming my school run go to, they can lift any outfit and give you one less thing to have to worry about fixing up in the morning. Once I’m home I can add a matte red lip and this Mumma’s ready for the day ahead.

Fashionkins // Romping Around

By Jenny Smith, Contributor Leave a Comment

Rompers and jumpsuits have always been a staple in Carter’s wardrobe—as previously shown here—they’re an excellent layering piece. I’m so delighted to have recently added this “Happy Romper” to Carter’s wardrobe. Comfort always comes first when it comes to dressing my boys, but that doesn’t mean you have to trade style for ease or vice versa. This hooded romper is made of lightweight organic French Terry and is great for year round wear. Non-restrictive and just right for indoor or outdoor, at home or out in the world—I never feel guilty having Carter in this romper all day. With the changing of the seasons, my favourite silhouette is taking shape: the oversized sweatshirt. This top garment makes slouchy an effortless statement and easily pairs with a set of leggings, skinny jeans, or casual slacks. Layer underneath with tees and long sleeves for added warmth when needed. It’s comfortable for the little ones to run amok and—when occasion permits!—nap in, all while keeping them style ready to head out on errands or a playdate.

Fashionkins// Layering for Fall

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

As we enter the fall season, transitioning our little one’s wardrobe becomes a fun necessity. Trench coats, knit tights, scarves and dresses are a wonderful way to layer and keep little ones comfortable and warm. Combining whites and rusty fall colors are perfect for transitioning from summer to fall. Rubber boots are great for walking through piles of fallen leaves.

Copyright © 2021 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
