FASHIONKINS :: Always on the Go!

If your family is anything like ours then you are always on the go! We are one group of active people who don’t let our busy lifestyles stop our love of fashion. These days I find myself laying out clothes for the kids that are comfortable, colorful and functional. For Jess, our go to style has become leggings, boots and an easy going top. Now that autumn is right around the corner, we’ll add a cable knit and we are set.

On most days, Jess prefers her long locks hung loosely around her face, or should I say in her face. While I love her beautiful blonde hair to trickle down her back and sway with her walk, it isn’t always practical. Which means that most days it tends to go up.

To get her look:
> Brush hair, part down the middle and secure into two pigtails
> Take one pigtail and twist, then wrap it around the base of the pigtail and secure with another ponytail holder
> Repeat with the other pigtail
> Go out and play!

Fashionkins :: Studio Misfits

This editorial shoot shot by the amazing Jessie Kenney was one of our top favorite shoots to style, shoot and create. It was created for our first print issue (so check it out to see the rest) and these were some extra shots we had.

Planning print issue 1 was such fun for us here at Babiekins because we really  let our imagination run wild and we had a blast on set. One of my favorite shoots was called “Sunday Morning Misfits.” I got the idea for the shoot after looking at a calendar from the 30’s. The calendar had a little boy sitting in a barbers chair getting ready to get his hair cut and I thought the concept would be perfect for a hair editorial. The results were super cute and we will show the rest of the editorial in digital 11.

You can purchase Babiekins print one here or check your local Barnes and Nobles, Books a million or these lovely stores stocking Babiekins.
