Sleepykins//A Shared Space in France

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

When I came across Nathalène Bourgoin’s feed on Instagram, I knew that I had to feature her in some way on our blog. Her everyday moments look so effortlessly chic. Unlike the usual feeds we see where everything looks staged and curated, this feed just felt real and collected, but still insanely stylish. I love the shared space she created for her to little babiekins. The space offers a vintage feel while still feeling current. And can we talk about that doll stroller she made using a Bobo Choses tote?!?!!?

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the United States, so I am in the spirit of decorating, cooking and giving thanks. I am thankful for family, friends, health, food, shopping online and Babiekins. I enjoy the traditions of the harvest festival and look forward to celebrating them with friends and family. The fashion and decor trends that I am most loving right now that are Native Inspired are fringe, feather headbands, moccasins and tents – Happy Thanksgiving!

Sleepykins// A Space for Livia in Holland

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

My name is Kirsten. I’m from Holland and I am the happily married mum of Livia (16 months old). I’m honored to be featured on this amazing magazine’s site. I just love to look for inspiration about interior design, especially kids’ interiors. I’m always busy in our house, rearranging and creating new corners. When I was pregnant, I couldn’t wait to start with the baby’s room. The first thing we bought was the wallpaper, it’s from Fine Little Day. I love the print and Livia does, too. She wants to count all of the little trees. I love the “seventy tree” panda poster and it looks great on that wall. I’m also a big fan of vintage items. I always use vintage furniture. In this room, the shelves are all vintage. I found them online on Marktplaats, a dutch second hand website. The lockers are from Ikea, I like them in this room because I didn’t wanted the room to be to “girly.”
Urban Outfitters sells nice rugs, like the one in Livia’s room, and quirky accessories.

In our living room, we created a separate corner for Livia to play. The tent from Ferm living was a birthday present as were the little “Brio” stove and cart. We put up some shelves, so I can always change the things I put on it and create different moods. And I change things around often because I just like too much! Some of my favorite dutch web shops are www.suussies.nl for beautiful dolls and www.psikhouvanjou.nl for toys, books and accessories.

Lil’ Stylekins // Jeanne’s closet II

Round two. Jeanne in black and white. Again. I know. I might have a monochrome problem, but I loooove this tough girly-girl look.

Mix up some boyish items with girly ones. No more words needed. Just pictures.

Sleepykins // Jeanne’s room

By Isabel Leave a Comment

When I found out we were having a girl last year I immediately started thinking about her little room. She is almost 9 months now and I think I am finally happy with the result. I kept changing things around and adding pieces here and there. It is one of my favourite rooms of the house.

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
