This past Sunday, while most Americans were watching the Super Bowl, my son and I watched the Puppy Bowl: for my three year-old the highlight of the show was the Kitty Half Time Show. Like my son, I love cats, and apparently so do designers. Talk about nine lives, cats have been making appearances on apparel, toys, and decor for several years now, and the trend doesn’t look like it is going away any time soon. With products as cute as these, I can see why cats are still hanging in there, they are the Cat’s Meow!

I love fostering creativity in my son in as many ways as possible and I get excited when I find innovative and creative toys for him – like these Chalkboard Toys. Your little ones can create their own designs on these fun educational toys finished with Chalkboard. Each toy comes complete with chalk so they can write messages on them, draw pictures on them or use them as room décor. I keep imagining all the creative ways my son would decorate his own toys – I am pretty sure he would draw a soccer ball, a robot, a heart and his name of course. What fun images would your little ones create? A butterfly? A flower? A cat? A dinosaur? A fox? A monster? The possibilities are endless!

Modern Clara Editor’s Picks

By Liz Jacob, Copy Editor Leave a Comment

The modern Clara is quietly swept away into a magical land filled with tiny toy soldiers, scampering mice, powerful kings and dancers from exotic lands. The Land of Sweets emerged into the evening and became a reality she hoped would last forever. This modern Clara traded in her nightgown and wool blanket for a tulle tutu and glistening glitter cape. She swept her hair up with pom-pom clips and tip-toed around her prince with golden angel wings. And when the clock struck midnight, The Land of Sweets slowly faded into the soft glow of the lights and modern Clara said her goodbyes as she walked off in the distance.

Copyright © 2022 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
