Featurekins // Little Name

By Elizabeth Pettey, Digital Photo Editor Leave a Comment

The ‘Rain & Shine Collection’ from Little Name is a made-in-NYC collection inspired to be whimsical and functional. As a mom, Alexis Mcvicker, creator of Little Name, knows first hand that, well, functional fashion is pretty essential when there’s paint to be used and puddles to be jumped in. “I wanted the collection pieces to represent whimsical vintage and pretty playwear qualities . . and also be functional  and care-free to get dirty in. You can literally spill ketchup or apple juice and just wipe it clean with a damp cloth.” … what more could you ask for?

Featurekins // Gardner and the Gang

By Elizabeth Pettey, Digital Photo Editor Leave a Comment

Nothing says “I’m the coolest kid on this playground” than the COOL (really there’s no better way to articulate it…), comfy, organic (!!) pieces over at Gardner and the Gang . My favorite? A tie between the Swim Suit Cool and anything with their Patric print!

I personally want to high-5 Sweedish designer, Kristin Nystrom, for gifting our kiddos wardrobes with this line (and a fist pump or two for their HUGE sale going on right now + free worldwide shipping).

Summer soiree this weekend with nothing to wear? Take another look at the pieces you already have!

Follow Pyror’s lead and dress up your Babiekins’ basic summer dresses (I love this one!) paired with bold tights and some killer yet classic Mary Janes by Elephantito.

Proud of their fantastic manners and extraordinary party etiquette afterward? Reward them with one (or two!) of these soft, snuggly birdies by Little Name!

There aren’t any words necessary… these babiekins’ smiles tell all!

Gates (playing in his Sunshine bodysuit & Summer Blue Pocket trousers) and Virginia (drooling over her Octopus Dots bodysuit + Rainy Day blankie) are obviously in love with their trendy PiuPia onesies! And mums + dads… you’ll be drooling over PiuPia’s soft, organic cotton (as if we needed another reason to snuggle our babiekins)!

Momkins // Abnous + Cam & Winn for Babiekins Magazine

I have an insane amount of respect for the trendy mama of today’s busy world.

While I was outfitted in athletic-wear at the local public library’s “Story Time”, I spotted Abnous and Winn. Week after week, Abnous, as if stepping off the pages of the trendiest Pinterest boards, toted in 2 year old Winn making dressing our babiekins as toddler trendsetters seem like a piece of cake.

My two boys were usually just covered in cake.

What do you love most about dressing your kiddos?

I have always viewed fashion as almost an art form. I never really cared about brands, but buying what stands out to me as something beautiful and unique. I love that the kids are like blank canvases; they can pull off just about anything! Cameron’s at the age where she’s starting to develop an opinion about what she wants to wear so it’s fun to see what she comes up with sometimes!

Favorite brands/ shoppes / designers?

Zara, Crewcuts, Gap, Antik Batik, Atsuyo Et Akiko, Thief & Bandit, H&M. My favorite line Ace & Jig now has a kids’ line!

Copyright © 2021 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
