Velvet is soft, plush and warm and is my favorite fabric for staying cozy this fall season. The velvet trend started last fall, continued into the early spring and has returned this fall in many of my favorite collections for babiekins. I have my eyes on a velvet jacket for myself and for my babiekin I love velvet sweatshirts, dresses, culottes, sneakers, home decor and accessories. Because velvet is so soft and cozy and looks lush in rich autumnal colors I think it will also become your babiekins favorite fabric for fall.

Whether you and your family are taking a vacation or having a Staycation this summer, I think the summer break is the perfect time to explore Our World with your babiekins. Together you can discover Our World through actual travel, by reading a book, or by finding countries on a map (or a Globe) from your home. With so many differences on display in our World right now, I think that now is the perfect time to teach my son to be a World Citizen and cultivate in him the love of exploring and learning about Our World. Two of his favorite books about Our World are “Around the World with Mouk” and “Maps”.

“Around the World with Mouk” has vibrant illustrations, search-and-find challenges, and fun reusable stickers: Mouk is also the perfect tour guide meeting friends along his journeys and sharing informational tidbits about local customs. “Maps” is a visual journey with beautifully drawn illustrations that feature cities, rivers, mountains, places of historical interest, personalities, animals and plants, cultural events and many more facts about every region of Our World.

Does your babiekin also have a favorite book about Our World? Enjoy your Journey!

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
