This years Pantone’s Color of The Year is Classic Blue– “A timeless and enduring blue hue, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue is elegant in its simplicity.” Pantone’s Classic Blue is the perfect color for sporty or frilly styles which are both trending this spring; when these two trends are mixed together they look fresh and fun. I really love a sneaker or a sporty stripe sock worn with a flouncy top, dress or skirt. I will definitely be introducing Classic Blue into my son’s wardrobe and decor this spring. Here is a round-up of my favorite Classic Blue goodies for your babiekins!

Do you love Classic Blue as much as I do?

Babiekins Favorites: Pantone Color of the Year 2019 Living Coral

By Debbie Jovel, Contributor Leave a Comment

I can hardly believe it’s already 2019; another year has gone by as has another Pantone color. This years Pantone’s Color of The Year is Living Coral – “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.” Pantone’s Living Coral reminds me of beautiful coral reefs beneath the sea and I imagine more trends in 2019 will be influenced by the sea and it’s diverse kaleidoscope of color.

I personally love this warm and vibrant shade of Coral and will definitely be introducing Living Coral into my son’s wardrobe and decor (as well as my closet this year) which is why I decided to share round-ups of my favorite Living Coral goodies for both you & your babiekins!

2018 is just around the corner and another year is almost behind us as is another Pantone color. Pantone announced their much anticipated “it” color for 2018, and the “it” color is PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet, a thoughtful purple shade. Ultra Violet represents originality and points us toward the future, suggesting the mysteries of the cosmos. I know my babiekin will love this color because to say he is obsessed with outer space is an understatement. I will be introducing Ultra Violet to him this year by reading him Harold and the Purple Crayon, observing the night sky together through our telescope, introducing him to the musical icon Prince and adding the mystical shade of purple to his accessories & decor.

What do you think of PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet?

I can hardly believe we are in the first week of 2017 and another year is already behind us – as is another Pantone color. Pantone announced the “it” color for 2017, and the “it” color is Greenery, a zesty yellow-green shade. Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings, making it, in my opinion, the perfect color choice for babiekins. Green is my nature boy’s favorite color, so I will definitely be introducing Greenery into my son’s wardrobe and decor this year.

What do you think of nature’s neutral shade of Green? Will you dress your babiekins in Greenery in 2017?

I can hardly believe we are in the first week of 2016 and another year is already behind us – as is another Pantone color. Goodbye Marsala; hello Pantone’s color of the year 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity! For the first time ever, Pantone’s color of the year is two colors – two soft tones that reflect connection, wellness and a sense of order and peace. I love the soft hues of pink and blue together for both boys and girls because they reflect gender equality and blur the softer more sensitive side of boys, with the stronger, more assertive side of girls. Rose Quartz and Serenity are both colors I am excited to introduce into my beautiful boys’ wardrobe and decor in 2016. Will you dress your babiekins in Rose Quartz and Serenity?

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
