Luvkins // Baby, It’s Cold Outside

By Donna Tweedale, Former Contributor Leave a Comment

I’m rarely happier this winter than when the wood fire is raging, the popcorn is warm, pizza is ordered in and I’m snuggled in with the kids and ready to watch a film on a Friday night. We have an old trunk in our lounge full of blankets and throws to get cozy with. From blankets that have seen better days but hold treasured memories of babies first trips home from the hospital, to beautifully chunky knitted blankets saved for the snack free film nights!

I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites to inspire you and your little babiekins to snuggle down for film night these holidays.

I remember being so excited when I found out I was pregnant with my oldest, Christian. I remember counting the months and figuring out how old he would be for each holiday. He was about 3 1/2 months old his first Christmas, and it changed the way I looked at the holiday forever. Suddenly, everything was more fun, more special and more magical. I loved buying him gifts even though he was too young to understand, because everything came in cute little packages and was so teeny tiny! If you are expecting a child, just had a little one, or want to give a gift that you know they will love — here are a few of our favorites. We are especially loving the wobabybasics Celebration Gift Set which holds a sweet screen-printed long-sleeve bodysuit and multi-purpose bandana scarf. We also love the incredibly chic and oh-so -useful Zooey necklace by Mama and Little. This necklace is so beautiful, you would never guess it’s to help your teething baby!

Copyright © 2023 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
