Featurekins // Milk & Biscuits

By Donna Tweedale, Former Contributor Leave a Comment

I’m a huge fan of Milk & Biscuits aesthetic. Every season they collaborate with an illustrator to create their unique prints. This season, Illustrator Amyisla Mccombie created the mountain print that features throughout the AW15 collection ‘North’.

I shared the first glimpse of Milk & Biscuits AW15 collection back in January at Dot to Dot in London. And now for the collection in it’s beautifully styled glory ; with a great use of texture, shot in Iceland by Michelle Marshall this photo story encapsulates Winter perfectly.

Momkins//Momcrush

By Leslie Schor, Senior Fashion Editor Leave a Comment

Guest post by Destiney of Momcrush Monday.

Today I will give my child my undivided attention.
There will be no “Me time” only “Us Time”.
I will only speak and respond while making eye contact.
I will not rush my child for personal reasons that can be set aside.
I will not text or make personal calls during our quality time.
I will inspire my child to explore the beauty that surrounds us.
I will expand my child’s vocabulary with a “Word of the Day” challenge.
During moments of frustration I will first, look at my child and smile.
I will permit my child to pick an extra special activity out of our reward jar.
We will sit facing each other and make silly faces.
Share one dessert with 2 spoons!
We will dance in our undies/pjs just before bed.
I’ll will ask my child to tell/read me a bedtime story.
I will give infinite tiny forehead kisses until my child’s fast asleep.

Fashionkins // Romping Around

By Jenny Smith, Contributor Leave a Comment

Rompers and jumpsuits have always been a staple in Carter’s wardrobe—as previously shown here—they’re an excellent layering piece. I’m so delighted to have recently added this “Happy Romper” to Carter’s wardrobe. Comfort always comes first when it comes to dressing my boys, but that doesn’t mean you have to trade style for ease or vice versa. This hooded romper is made of lightweight organic French Terry and is great for year round wear. Non-restrictive and just right for indoor or outdoor, at home or out in the world—I never feel guilty having Carter in this romper all day. Cardigans and cable knits.  There is such a comfortable look to them that it kind of makes me want to stay in all day and snuggle my little guy, but of course sometimes that is not an option. With it still being winter and all, the most important consideration in an outfit is to keep my little man warm and comfortable, but yet of course stylish. I love the comfy inherent look of a chunky cable knit sweater against a finer knit oversized cardigan. This combination makes the outfit breathable yet warm and is also easy to remove the layers if your little one gets too hot from monkeying around. This hand knitted plus sign toque and plaid infinity scarf completes the outfit and will guarantee to keep my Carter warm and cozy on our chilly winter outings.

Copyright © 2019 · Babiekins Magazine | A Trendsetting Kids' Fashion Magazine and Online Community for Parents and Children Alike · Since the Southern California birth of Babiekins in 2010, the magazine has grown from into an internationally-recognized print publication with a global circulation and now a thriving online community. We are more than a kids’ fashion magazine. We search everywhere for inspiration, and go beyond trends to bring you fashion, style, decor, design, books, DIY, parties, and playthings. Our readers look to us to keep up with the best and most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market worldwide. We have an eye for quirk. We’re high-fashion, but we value whimsy over tradition. Playful childhood is more important to us than making kids into copycat adults. We believe life is beautiful, life is valuable, and life changes when you see it through the eyes of a child. We seek to transcend skin color, language and zip codes and bring out the real, wild, magical creativity inherent in every child. And behind Babiekins is an optimistic team of mothers-turned-editors, working from home, often with our own little babiekins climbing on, under and around the desks. We want to encourage you, and challenge you to see something different — something special — in yourself and in this world we all share. Welcome to Babiekins!
