I can hear birds softly chirp outside my morning window.
I can smell the crisp scent of daffodils unfolding from earth.
I can taste sweetness in the air, like rich honey spread on freshly baked bread.
I can feel rays of sunshine sinking into my worn winter skin.
I can see fields of green stretching over the open horizon.
I welcome you with open arms.
The five senses can be extremely powerful tools when it comes to writing. Can you take the five sense and create a poem? Grab your little one, sit down and work together. Talk about the senses. Taste, touch, smell, hear, see. What can you create? What can you come up with?
Don’t forget, send your poem or your child’s poem to email@example.com for a chance to be featured here on Babiekins Magazine Blog.
